AVPro MXnet Control Box
MXnet Control Box
Features
- Manages all MXnet USP, 1G, &10G Endpoints
- Web-hosted ‘Mentor’ Management Interface
- Isolated AV and Control LAN Connections
- High Availability Architecture for an ‘Always Up’ Experience
- Dante Controller Mode
- Control Drivers Available for Crestron, Q-SYS, Control4 and more
Key Features
- Single Point of Management: The CBOX‑HA auto-discovers, manages, routes, and maintains all MXnet USP, 1G, and 10G endpoints. It provides a single login to control every MXnet device on the network, including MXnet switches.
- Mentor User Interface: Mentor is a web-hosted interface offering intuitive setup, diagnostics, routing, live previews, video wall creation, multiview layouts, and advanced configuration. When MXnet switches are connected, Mentor can configure VLANs and port settings directly.
- Isolated AV and Control LAN Connections: The CBOX‑HA bridges enterprise/control networks with AV networks. Its isolated LAN connections prevent multicast AV traffic from entering IT networks. Six additional LAN ports support MXnet switches or 3rd‑party control devices.
- High Availability Architecture: Two CBOX‑HA units can be connected (network or HA RS‑232) for redundancy. If the primary fails, the secondary automatically takes over, preventing downtime in mission‑critical environments.
- Open API: MXnet's open API allows custom control, driver creation, and access to all MXnet device functions beyond built‑in control drivers.
- Dante Controller Mode: Enables automatic discovery and control of Dante-enabled amplifiers, DSPs, speakers, and consoles without needing a PC running Dante Controller. Allows routing of Dante audio streams directly through the CBOX‑HA.
Description
The AC‑MXNET‑CBOX‑HA is the centralized control and management hub for the entire MXnet AV‑over‑IP platform. Acting as the interface between MXnet encoders/decoders and 3rd‑party control systems, it hosts the Mentor web environment, enabling easy auto‑discovery, configuration, routing, diagnostics, and maintenance of endpoints. With its powerful management features and high‑availability architecture, the CBOX‑HA makes deploying even large‑scale MXnet installations simple, fast, and highly reliable.
